About how the ASMR-tists rebel against the algorithms that control their lives


WhisperingWieke, LynnieZ & Ay_mazing want more followers. They decide to sign up for SatisFactory, a content farm that promises to transform them from completely unknown content creators into world-famous ASMR-tists. Soon, they realize that the more sensational they are, the more followers they attract. Slowly, you see them deteriorate because of the content they create themselves.
SatisFactory is a performance about the phenomenon of ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response). You know, that tingling sensation you get when you see small pieces of soap being cut from a large block with a utility knife. Or when someone makes soft tapping sounds in a binaural microphone.

There's a lot going on about ASMR and especially the ASMR-tists. They constantly battle the stigma that their work is a form of disguised soft pornography. To what extent are they responsible for the toxic culture that has developed around ASMR, and to what extent are the algorithms and viewers forcing them into it?
